Project Description
Grace petals is a premier flower delivery app in india, dedicated to creating a seamless user experience. Our app revamps the traditional flower delivery process, ensuring ease of use, personalized touches, and a visually engaging interface that delights users at every step.
Timeline
1 Month (April 2024)
Background
Grace Petals is a concept-based mobile e-commerce app designed to provide a seamless flower delivery experience. Inspired by the growing demand for online gifting and same-day delivery, the app focuses on helping users effortlessly browse, customize, and schedule floral deliveries for every occasion — all through a visually rich and intuitive interface.
Process
The process began with analyzing top floral e-commerce platforms to understand how users discover, customize, and purchase bouquets online. I identified key frustrations like cluttered navigation, limited customization, and long checkout flows. I mapped user journeys from product discovery to delivery scheduling, then created wireframes focused on simplifying that path. Using Figma, I designed a warm, elegant UI with occasion-based filtering, delivery scheduling, and minimal checkout steps. The design was validated through peer feedback and refined for a clean mobile-first experience.
Steps that i Followed
Identified key user pain points in existing flower delivery apps—cluttered UI, poor personalization, and complex checkout flows.
Conducted competitor analysis (e.g., Ferns N Petals, Bloom & Wild) to gather inspiration and spot UX gaps.
Defined user personas like occasional and planned gifters to guide the experience design.
Mapped user journeys for bouquet discovery, customization, and delivery scheduling.
Created low-fidelity wireframes to establish clean navigation and a focused checkout flow.
Designed high-fidelity UI in Figma with a soft, elegant aesthetic and mobile-first layout.
Built a functional prototype with key flows (browse, customize, schedule) and added microinteractions.
Tested with users, refined key areas like “schedule later” visibility and form clarity based on feedback.
Solution
The final solution is a user-friendly, visually immersive flower delivery app tailored for mobile users. It enables quick bouquet browsing, personalized delivery scheduling, and category-based gift discovery — all wrapped in an elegant interface that reflects the emotional tone of gifting.
Cluttered Browsing Experience
Introduced occasion-based filtering (e.g., birthday, anniversary, sympathy) and curated collections.
Lack of Personalization
Enabled users to add custom notes, choose delivery times, and schedule dates in advance.Lengthy Checkout Flow
Designed a 3-step, frictionless checkout process with real-time delivery confirmation.Poor Mobile Optimization
Focused on a responsive, mobile-first layout with swipeable cards and easy navigation.Missing Gift Inspiration
Added sections like “Trending Bouquets” and “Gift by Emotion” to guide undecided users.
Result
Though a concept project, Grace Petals was designed with performance and engagement in mind.
📈 Expected Outcomes:
30% faster checkout experience compared to standard e-commerce flows
40% increase in product discovery through occasion-based browsing
25% boost in engagement from delivery scheduling and personalization features
Positive feedback anticipated for its warm, gift-worthy design language
